Kay Bain of WTVA's Morning Show, Southern Praise and other local entertainment.

Information Booth

Sweet Potato T-shirts, caps and cookbooks. Display of sweet potato farm equipment and food booths. Antique Tractor Show will be at BancorpSouth.


9:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk
Downtown, entry fee $18.00 / Race Day
Pre Registration - $15.00, Finish Line Support provided by Tupelo Running Club

 

10:00 AM - Contest Judging                    Registration begins at 9:30.  Contests include Washed/Waxed Bushels of Vardaman Sweet Potatoes, Potato Creatures, Artwork, Photography, and Writing.  (All writing entries must be postmarked by October 21.)

 

10:00 AM - Sweet Potato Tasting Booth       For only $3 you can sample 10 delicious sweet potato foods prepared and donated by sweet potato farm families.

 

11:00 AM - Sweet Potato Pie Eating Contest Cash prizes for first place in each division.  Located in front of the main stage by Veteran's Park.

 

11:00 AM - Famous Barbecued Chicken Dinner Located at the Fire Station.  All proceeds go to Vardaman Summer League Baseball/Softball Program.
